OVERVIEW
In the summer of 2022, I had the privilege of joining the Messaging team at Spotify as a Product Design Intern. Throughout this internship, I was tasked with an ambiguous brief and problem space with zero defined tech constraints, while having the opportunity to explore concepts for how Messaging at Spotify can leverage Apple's iOS16.
I took the lead in spearheading a groundbreaking project that had never been explored before, even in the absence of existing market data. I played a crucial role in identifying potential use cases to enhance user engagement with Spotify through Messaging. This experience empowered me to lead the development of an entirely new product in an unexplored market, currently in execution and scheduled for release in mid-2023/early 2024.
Furthermore, I led the redesign of a product, extending users' engagement with Spotify's content beyond the app to create a more immersive experience. Collaborating closely with User Researchers, I conducted usability testing on hyper-realistic prototypes of the design iterations I created, ensuring finely-tuned user experiences. Additionally, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Machine Learning team, contributing to enhancing Spotify's efficiency in connecting with its listeners through messages.
